When you cannot identify a finish

Do not infer a material from colour alone. Look for a model number, care label, purchase record, installer documentation, or manufacturer support page. Until you know the finish, avoid acids, abrasives, steam, soaking, and strong solvents. A dry soft cloth and a pause are often safer than an uncertain cleaner.
